It was one extremely hot and dry summer afternoon I was getting off the train at the station of Fisciano in Campania, Southern Italy. I shouldered my heavy backpack and set off striding the first steps of a great many that were to come during the following four days. It was the beginning of my Picentini Mountains trekking trip. In this album, you’ll see some photos I took during that first part of the trip: covering the distance from the train station, past the towns of Fisciano and Calvanico, and reaching the first trail by the mountain foot.
