Back in 1488, Bartolomeu Diaz was rounding the Cape of Good Hope with his caravels, opening a new route to Asia and a new era in the history of humankind. Twenty-two years later he got drowned in these very waters during his second attempt to round the cape. Five centuries later people photograph it.
