Other than Hin Lek Fai and the Monkey Mountain, a less known beautiful viewpoint in Hua Hin, Thailand, is the Wat Khao Sanam Chai Temple Hill. Apart from monks, it is unlikely you are going to see any living soul, tourists or locals, up there. A great place if you want to enjoy some incredible views of Hua Hin and the surroundings at peace.
Wat Khao Sanam Chai is accessible only by the main motorway. By the southern end of Hua Hin, on the way to Khao Tao, right beside a police station, there leaves a small road heading to the top of the hill. The coordinates of the turn are: 12.5182, 99.9648.
After a short ride, genial monks greeting you along the way, you reach a small parking area by the monastery’s lodges. Checking out the charming temple and its quaint environs, you can follow the 200-meter-long trail towards the pagoda on the top of the hill. The pagoda itself is circled by a porch, whence a clear, 360-degrees view is visible. Walking a little further down the path, you come to a hidden rock outcrop, where you are guaranteed to enjoy the view in complete solitude.
