Tres Marías is a group of natural tidal pools located within the coastal landscapes of Parque Nacional Natural Uramba Bahía Málaga on Colombia’s Pacific coast. Surrounded by rainforest and shaped by the movement of the ocean, the pools appear and change with the tides, creating sheltered spaces of calm water along the rocky shoreline. Early in the day, the area remains especially quiet, with only the sound of water moving between the rocks and forest.
We arrived at Tres Marías early in the morning during a tour through Parque Nacional Natural Uramba Bahía Málaga in March 2026. We spent about an hour moving between the pools, swimming briefly, and taking a few photographs around the rocks and water. The place felt still and isolated at that hour, before the stronger light reached the coast.
