Politika Beach lies just 2 kilometers from the center of the village by the same name in central Evia, on the southern shore of the North Euboean Gulf. It is 10 km from Psachna, 23 km from Chalkida, and 99 km from Athens. With its natural beauty and solid infrastructure, it’s an excellent choice for both day trips and affordable multi-day vacations.

The beach is nearly straight and stretches for 3 kilometers. It forms the southernmost end of a long beach that runs almost uninterrupted up to Dafni and the foothills of Mount Kandyli to the north. Its width ranges from 5 to 20 meters. It’s covered in fine pebbles mixed with dark sand. The water is crystal clear and becomes fairly deep quite quickly by the standards of the Euboean Gulf.
Its orientation is due south. The beach faces the southern end of the North Euboean Gulf, with views of Chalkida and the imposing silhouette of Mount Messapio. Near the eastern end of the beach, there’s a small marina for boats and, further out, a picturesque offshore lighthouse. In the center of the village, you’ll also find medieval towers worth visiting.

In summer, Politika Beach is a popular destination for locals from Evia and vacationers from Athens, but it never gets overcrowded. It offers public straw umbrellas as well as ample shade from pine and tamarisk trees along the edge. There’s a decent selection of accommodation and food options.
Stay22 is a handy tool that lets you search for and compare stays and experiences across multiple platforms on the same neat, interactive map. Hover over the listings to see the details. Click on the top-right settings icon to adjust your preferences; switch between hotels, experiences, or restaurants; and activate clever map overlays displaying information like transit lines or concentrations of sights. Click on the Show List button for the listings to appear in a list format. Booking via this map, I will be earning a small cut of the platform's profit without you being charged any extra penny. You will be thus greatly helping me to maintain and keep enriching this website. Thanks!
There is also an organized campsite operating in Politika. Wild camping is not common.
Food
Politika Beach has plenty of tavernas and eateries. For seafood by the water, I recommend Alexandraki and Faros. For meat, try Archontissa up in the village. You’ll also find a pizzeria and a beach bar right on the beach.
