A collection of pictures I took in Zygovisti, Arcadia, Greece. Browse hundreds of more photo albums from my trips around the world using the submenu above or the Photo Albums Map at the bottom of the page.
Zygovisti is a small, quiet village located just a few kilometers from Dimitsana, nestled in the Arcadian mountains. This traditional Greek village is known for its unspoiled character, with stone-built houses, cobblestone streets, and a peaceful rural atmosphere. Zygovisti was historically significant during the Greek War of Independence, with monuments in the village commemorating local fighters. The surrounding forests and mountains provide ample opportunities for hiking and exploring, while the village itself offers a tranquil escape from the more touristy spots in the region. Zygovisti’s slow pace and scenic setting make it a charming stop for those exploring the heart of the Peloponnese.
