Curepipe, located in the central plateau of Mauritius, is known for its cooler climate and lush greenery. Often referred to as the “City of Light” due to its elevated position, Curepipe offers a refreshing escape from the coastal heat. The town is famous for its colonial architecture, botanical gardens, and the Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant volcano with a panoramic view of the island from its crater rim. Curepipe also boasts a vibrant shopping scene, with markets and boutiques offering a range of local crafts and goods. Its serene atmosphere and cultural richness make Curepipe a charming destination for a leisurely visit.
