Antsirabe stands as one of Madagascar’s largest cities and is celebrated for its thermal springs and rickshaw culture. Located in the central highlands, it offers a cooler climate compared to other parts of the island, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking respite from the heat. The city’s thermal springs have attracted visitors for therapeutic purposes for generations. Moreover, the prominence of rickshaws, locally known as “pousse-pousse,” as a primary mode of transportation, adds a distinctive cultural element to Antsirabe’s urban fabric.
