Pereira is the capital of Risaralda and one of the main cities in Colombia’s Coffee Triangle. It sits along the Otún River and is known for its modern infrastructure, commercial activity, and connection to surrounding coffee landscapes. Landmarks like its viaduct and central plazas reflect its role as a regional hub.
We spent three days here in March 2026. We walked through Plaza Bolívar and the Cathedral of Our Lady of Poverty, then passed the Viaducto de Pereira. We continued through Parque La Libertad, Parque El Lago, Plaza Ciudad Victoria, and Parque Olaya Herrera, taking photos along the way.
