It always is a very unique and bizarre feeling taking over one who just reaches civilization after any considerable time of absence. That exact feeling was the one pervading me that afternoon when we just had returned to the lower levels of this earth from a great trip to Mount Giona; and we decided to make a stop for souvlaki and a glass of wine in the town of Livadeia (gr. Λιβαδειά), which I deem to be one of Greece’s most picturesque towns.
