Filandia is a small colonial town in Quindío, known for its colorful streets and elevated viewpoints over the surrounding coffee region. Less visited than Salento, it retains a quieter atmosphere while offering wide views across valleys and hills. Landmarks like the Colina Iluminada viewpoint draw visitors for panoramic sunsets.
We arrived here for the final night of our March 2026 road trip in Colombia. At sunset, we climbed to the Mirador Colina Iluminada and watched the light fade across the landscape. Later, we walked near Parque Bolívar, and the next morning we wandered through the town’s surroundings before leaving.
