It was a hot summer midnight I set out from the city of Pompei aiming to have reached the top of Mount Vesuvius by dawn, in a trespassing operation. The long way it took me to reach the mountain foot passed through the two succeeding towns of Boscoreale and Boscotrecase, in which I took the photos you will see in this album. Unfortunately, soon after I made it to the mountain foot and started my ascent, I was spotted by an army patrol and was forced to turn back ingloriously.
