Armenia is the capital of Quindío department in Colombia’s Coffee Triangle, positioned between Pereira and Manizales. The city is a regional commercial center, known for its parks, plazas, and urban layout shaped by rebuilding after a major earthquake in 1999. Its public spaces and avenues define much of its daily life.
We spent three days here in March 2026. We moved through Plaza Bolívar, Carrera 14, Parque Sucre, Plaza de la Quindianidad, Parque de los Fundadores, and Parque de la Vida. We walked between these areas and took photos across different parts of the city.
