Pokhara, built by the shore of the tranquil Phewa Lake, is Nepal’s second-largest city. Being large and developed enough for one to find pretty much anything found in any city, yet considerably smaller and calmer than Kathmandu, it makes an ideal base for exploring the extraordinary beauties of the country.
