Having just come to the city of Volos purporting to hike on Mount Pelion, a local friend revealed to us the existence of a free-to-use, well-equipped stone hut located near the village of Agios Georgios. As we didn’t yet have a concrete plan as to where exactly we were going to hike, and also because the time of the year wasn’t quite ideal to sleep in the tent, we decided to head exactly thither.
