This album contains some photos I took while on a day trip from Volos city to Zagora village, located on the east side of Mount Pelion. Evidence has been found that the area was inhabited since ancient times already, but the current village was founded in the 16th century AD and prospered during the subsequent centuries thanks to its renown silk manufacturies. Nowadays it is a popular destination for Greek and international tourists alike who come to marvel at the beauty of Mount Pelion.
