Salerno is a city located on the Tyrrhenian Sea coast in Campania, Southern Italy. During the early Middle Ages it was the capital of the independent Lombard Principality of Salerno. In that period operated in the city the Schola Medica Salernitana: the first medical school in the world.
You will see in this album a few pictures I took while strolling around it for a few hours, waiting for the next train to transport me to the nearby Picentini Mountains.
