Despite its inhabitants calling their home proudly a “city”, Kilkenny is basically a small town. Whether a city or a town, anyway, Kilkenny: with its bulky medieval castles and churches, its gloomy graveyards, its picturesque lanes, and its numerous centuries-old breweries: is definitely one of the most beautiful inhabited areas I’ve ever had the fortune to behold on earth. Here come the pictures I took while strolling around its various charming parts on a typically cloudy and rainy Irish winter morning.
