Richmond is a suburban town in southwest London. It was founded in the 16th century after Henry the 7th built there the Richmond Palace, to which town owes its name. The town is known for the scenic views of the Thames River it offers, which views are protected by a specific Act of Parliament. Living, myself, in the nearby district of Kingston for some time, I often enjoyed having a stroll along the Thames up to Richmond, chasing after some picturesque images.
